Hurriyet is launching a giant campaign for the victims of earthquake-hit Bingol, to avoid another tragedy experienced in the Celtiksuyu School. Hurriyet made a pledge of 500 billion TL and the Aydin Dogan Foundation 500 Billion TL to launch the campaign.

Hurriyet will lead efforts to test the resistance of all schools and hostels in the quake regions and will launch work at the soonest, to reinforce these.  
 The Middle East Technical University (METU-ODTU) will inspect all schools of Bingol and prepare a New Bingol Report. Prof.Dr.Ural Akbulut, the Rector of the University said, "We shall mobilize all our means."
